OV Productions

OV Productions is Olsen Verlag’s video production business. We are a small, flexible team led by our founder, James Olsen.

As a team of musicians, we are ideally placed to produce videos of and about musicians. However, we are equally glad to work outside the music business and welcome enquiries from anyone who needs to make a video.

Our approach: keep it simple

Every organisation today needs to communicate online, and video is without a doubt the most direct way to do so. But producing a video professionally can seem daunting and costly.

We believe that making a video should be simple, quick and affordable. You needn’t pay the earth for an auteur in a beret, so we don’t overcomplicate things and can keep our prices down while delivering outstanding content.

We like to keep things simple. Our aim is to cause minimum disruption during filming, using high-quality gear which delivers superb results but without requiring hours of setting up. We turn edits around promptly because we realise that not every video is Apocalypse Now, taking two years to edit.

Our story

James started making videos in 2017 in order to engage new audiences with classical music. Olsen Verlag subsequently started receiving requests to make videos for clients, and our business has now grown to producing promotional videos, short documentaries, and films of musical works.

We are based in Ely, Cambridgeshire, and with our local knowledge we are well-placed to work with businesses and organisations in Cambridge, Norwich, Bury St Edmunds and around East Anglia and the East of England, as well as in London and across the UK.

Our clients include the Church of England, Grimshaw Architects, Ely Cathedral, the National Children’s Choir of Great Britain and the National Farmers’ Union.
